The Grove of Seasons

And now July has arrived. This is someone I know the lease, but this year I am taking the time to get to know. So far, He has brought so many treasures, and I am cherishing each one. This is usually the month of fire, and I am an Autumn child who longs for the cool days and long nights. I don't want to hurry this time, so I am paying attention to each moment, even though the moments might be warmer than I prefer. I will listen...and I know I will hear guiding words.

And June arrives...

And so now the June brother has arrived. May has gone to Her rest for another year. She is behind her Gate. And now the first of the Summer brothers walks. I have to admit, I'm not too familiar with him. I think he's probably very young, a trickster perhaps? Puck? Some sort of Goodfellow? I just don't know. All I know is that the long hot days have begun. I wait for Litha. When the Holly King returns, the rule of the Dark Lord. But even then, there are many long, days that will be haven to the Brothers of Summer.

And it Begins...

~~~They aren’t in any order. Yet there is only Order. Twelve Gates. Twelve Keys. Twelve Seasons. And the Wheel Turns.

I shall begin with the month as it is now: May. What does May stand for? Mothers? Beltane? When the Goddess joins with the God, the journey of the Mother begins. And today, May walks. The rain is coming. They sky is grey. Other days are bright, sunny. The heat approaches. For now, the last of the Spring Sisters walks, May.

In a few days she will draw out her Key and open the Gate to June. And the first of the Summer Brothers will emerge. And once again, things will change. The Wheel will turn again.

What else does May stand for? What does she bring? In time my mind will open.
